JOB TITLE:
FIELD TECHNICIAN

Our clients choose us as the lead consultant on all their projects, which has made us exponentially grow over the last four years.
Engtec Consulting Inc. is currently looking for experienced Field Technicians for the GTA and surrounding area. Opportunities to learn and conduct more complex geotechnical and materials inspections will become available as experience is gained. Carrying and use of test equipment involves some effort of a physical nature. There may be a requirement to work overtime, nights, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Carry out testing on construction sites for various contracts with municipalities and numerous MTO highway projects;
- Conduct in-situ testing and compaction testing of various materials as well as engineering fill compaction;
- Perform concrete testing and sampling;
- Preparation of field reports, documenting equipment used, test locations, and results.
Qualifications
- Must own a vehicle and hold a Valid (G-Level) Ontario Driver’s License
- CCIL or equivalent certifications
- Must be willing to work in both the field and office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Skills
- Basic computer skills
- Must be flexible, well organized, able to carry out assignments with minimal supervision
- Solves problems effectively
- Strong report writing skills and verbal communication in English are essential

- High School Diploma (or equivalent)

EXPERIENCED CONCRETE TECHNICIAN

Our clients choose us as the lead consultant on all their projects, which has made us exponentially grow over the last four years.
Engtec Consulting Inc. is Engtec Consulting Inc. is currently looking for experienced Concrete Technicians for the GTA and surrounding area. There may be a requirement to work overtime, nights, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Carry out testing on construction sites for various contracts with municipalities and numerous MTO highway projects;
- Perform tests on concrete for temperature, slump, density and air content;
- Pickup concrete samples as required and deliver to the lab for final testing;
- Occasionally test other materials such as asphalt, aggregate and soils;
- Preparation of field reports, documenting equipment used, test locations, and results.
Qualifications
- Own a vehicle and hold a Valid (G-Level) Ontario Driver’s License;
- CCIL or equivalent certifications;
- Must have experience on MTO or similar projects;
- Be willing to work in both the field and office;
- Experience with high production concrete pour;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
